The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with Jataka. The use of this website and placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, and we recommend you print a copy for future reference.

General

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Your Account

If you order on the Jataka website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner. Please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering. We reserve the right to refuse access to the web-shop, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.

Access to our website

We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to our website may be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.

License for website access

We grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This website or any portion of this website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

You may not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of this web site without express written consent.

Your Conduct

You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and you must use the web site for lawful purposes only.

Description of Goods

Many of the products we sell are of a descriptive nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. If you require further information regarding product specifications please contact us before ordering.

Payment and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit/debit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your card account to the value of the incorrect price (including any delivery charges).All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges for order of less than £50 which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.

Payment Methods

Jataka accepts payment using all major debit and credit cards. On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been received. You may also pay by cheque or postal order although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take up to 10 days.

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Delivery Charges

All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will be added to the price of the products at our checkout.

Delivery in the UK: There is a standard charge of £2.75 postage and packing for orders under £25, £1.95 for orders between £25 and £49.99, and no charge for orders of £50 and over.

Europe and Worldwide Delivery: Delivery outside of the UK is not a service Jataka offers as standard. If you wish delivery to be made outside of the UK please contact us before placing an order and we can discuss postage options with you.

Standard Delivery Times

Dispatch of products (stock items) to locations within the UK will normally be made within 1-3 working days from clearance of payment, and will be sent by recorded 1st class mail which requires a signature upon delivery. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock we will notify you of this position and give you an estimated time of delivery. You will then have the option to cancel your order or wait for the item(s) to be back in stock. If you choose to wait for an item(s) to be back in stock and you have other items on your order that are currently in stock, we will send products as they are available and Jataka will pay additional delivery charges (as applicable).

Risk

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be reported to us within 10 days of delivery. We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 10 days from the expected delivery date.

Privacy

Please refer to our privacy policy for information regarding the commitments to our customers.

Order Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled up to 7 working days after a purchase (beginning the day after the goods are received). Please inform us by email at info@jataka.co.uk stating 'Order Cancellation' as the subject and including all order details within the correspondence. Cancelled orders will be refunded in full after goods are received back in perfect condition. Any shipping costs incurred by the sender will not be refunded.

We will endeavour to reply to your complaint or comments within two working days and inform you of what action will be taken, if applicable.

Please make cheques payable to "Jataka ".

Please note we are unable to despatch goods prior to a cheque clearing so your order may take a little longer. Please do not send any bank notes or coins.
